About me:

I grew up in Ephrata, WA, and graduated in 2012 from Central Washington University. I received my Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration in fall of 2016. Before coming to Connell I subbed in the Ephrata School District for two years and was an assistant basketball coach for them as well. I have a six-year-old son, Colton, who keeps me busy when I'm not at work. He loves to be active, outdoors and especially in the water. Besides work and family, I enjoy spending time at my cabin in Cle Elum and watching Notre Dame football every fall.

I am currently in my fourth year teaching at Olds Junior High School. My classes are CAD, Coding, and Computers. I love teaching students about technology and growing their interest in computer science related classes that I believe will dominate the job market in the years to come. Understanding how to work with technology, code and how computers function will be required for the jobs of the tomorrow. Introducing students to these concepts in junior high is a good first step in preparing them to live in the digital world of the future.

Basketball is also a passion of mine. I am also entering my fourth year as the head boy’s basketball coach at Connell High School. It will be my 13th year of coaching overall, and my 6th as a head coach. I am excited about the success our program had in 2016 winning the SCAC East and advancing to the state tournament for the first time since 2008.
